Casetify launches new nostalgic phone cases with Urban Sophistication
If you understood that early 2000s “Kim Possible” reference, chances are you’ll appreciate these nostalgic cases and phone accessories from Casetify that launched early Tuesday morning.
As part of a new throwback collaboration between the phone case company and Urban Sophistication, they have launched three new phone cases modeled after the flip phones and Apple iPods of yesteryear, as well as some other accessories like AirPod cases, charging pads and more. Cases start at $40 and are made for the iPhone 7 and newer.
The three main cases will have you missing the simpler times of SMS and iPod games. The first of the cases looks exactly like a Blackberry phone, complete with the full keyboard and even the beginnings of an email on the screen. You can even customize the email, choosing a message as well as the recipient in the “To:” line.
Next up, scroll through your throwback playlist while jamming on your iPod Classic. The case has the circular menu in the middle and is mid-tune playing a song called “Can’t Afford to Lose You” with a pair of AirPods as the cover art. Funny and true — touché, Casetify.
Last but not least, if you didn’t have the pink Razr flip phone as a teen and were super jealous of those who did, take this as a second chance. The pink case resembles the Motorola artifact and can even be customized with your name in glitter. But this time you won’t even need to ask your parents’ permission to bedazzle your phone.
Now, to accessorize — as every 2000s baby knows — is of the utmost importance. After putting the cases in your cart, check out the rest of the items in the collection, including cases for both AirPods and AirPod Pros, charging pads and grip stands to bring your ’90s phone case into the more high-tech 2020s.
